This Website Privacy Policy (this “Privacy Policy”) explains how information about you is collected, used, and disclosed by Software Technology, LLC ("Software Technology", "we", or "us") when you visit our website, www.kurent.com (the “Website”) or access and use the “Kurent” application made available to you via a separate Subscription Agreement (the application and the Website, collectively, the “Services”).  This Privacy Policy does not apply to Software Technology’s privacy practices associated with offline activities or websites other than the Website or to information collected by any third party, even if such information is collected through an application or content (including advertising) that is linked to or accessible from the Services.

Privacy Policy Changes

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time.  If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our homepage or sending you an email notification).  We encourage you to review the Privacy Policy whenever you access any Services to stay informed about our information practices and the ways you can help protect your privacy.

Collection of Information
  • Information You Provide to Us.  We collect information you provide directly to us.  For example, we collect information when you create an account, participate in any interactive features of the Services, fill out a form, request customer service, or otherwise communicate with us via the Services.  Such information may include information by which you may be personally identified, such as your name, email address, postal address, phone number, fax number, and credit card information (“personal information”) and any other information you choose to provide.

  • Information We Collect Automatically When You Use the Services.  When you access or use our Services, we automatically collect information about you, including the following:

  • We log information about your use of the Services, including the type of browser you use, access times, pages viewed, your IP address, Session ID, and the page you visited before navigating to our Website.  This information is generally collected without identifying any user individually, although IP addresses and Session ID in relation to downloads may be tracked as part of our fraud prevention efforts.

  • We use various technologies to collect information, including (1) sending cookies to your computer or mobile device, and (2) placing web beacons on pages of the Website.

  • Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us to improve our Services and your experience, see which areas and features of our Services are popular, and count visits.  Cookies function as your identification card and enable us to record your passwords and preferences. They cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses.   For more information about accepting and rejecting cookies, see “Your Choices” below.

  • Web beacons are small electronic files (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit us, for example, to count users who have visited those pages and for other related Website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain Website content and verifying system and server integrity).

  • We may receive information about your location, as well as a unique identifier for your mobile device, when you use our Services from a mobile device.

  • Third-Party Use of Cookies: Google Analytics. We use a tool called Google Analytics to collect information about your use of the Services.  When you access or use our Services, Google Analytics automatically collects non-personal information about you such as your IP address.  Google Analytics may also use cookies to collect non-personal information about you.  More information on how Google Analytics collects and processes information can be found at: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.

Disclosure to Third Parties

We will not share your personal information with third parties without your express consent, except in the limited circumstances described below:

  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.

Software Technology takes reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including transmitting information over the internet using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to encrypt your data so that it cannot be compromised. This is the same kind of data protection that most credit card companies and banking websites use to keep their customers’ data confidential. We do not retain your information for longer than is necessary for our business purposes.  When we no longer need your information, we dispose of it safely.

  • Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default.  You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies.  Please note that if you choose to remove or reject cookies, this could affect the availability and functionality of the Services.
